GRANDMA'S PLACE

Harlem Art Crawl Holiday Windows

Grandma's Place is a children's toy store in Harlem NYC, not only selling toys but books that teach children about cultures around the world. Grandma's Place consisted of two large store front windows which were produced for the Harlem Art Crawl Event in 2018.

They were one of the many stores that participated in the neighborhood bid for the holiday season. The first window was inspired by a music box that children would receive as a gift as a child. It exudes a frosted like Disney quality with unique lighting techniques to suit the holiday season.

The second window was a playful ginger house theme dressed up with candy while incorporating merchandising. It mimics a real ginger house gifted to or made by families during the holiday's.

A large portion of these windows were hand made and produced in-house which consisted of sourcing materials and lighting from outside vendors and custom made graphics.

Both windows were custom made and pieced together by hand.
